We offer a full program of activities throughout the year ranging from our regular easy-graded Sunday Walks to week long pack-carry trips, with lots of options in between. The club caters for all levels of bush walking and hiking experience. Our activities program is not limited to bush walking and includes base camps, canoeing and bicycling in Summer, with social events all year round. Our focus is to provide a facility for those who enjoy the Australian bush, its wildlife and its natural beauty and who wish to assist in its preservation. Our philosophy is: "Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints." In addition, the club regularly conducts courses in Navigation, Leadership Training and First Aid. Wednesday is Club Night when club members get together to plan trips and to book for upcoming club events. |
Our monthly Newsletter, The News is posted to all members and contains details of upcoming walks, write-ups of recent walking trips, social activities, environmental information and committee news. It is linked to our quarterly (seasonal) Walks Program, which gives a forward look at planned walks. o Located in central Melbourne, the clubroom is convenient to access. Visit our map page to see the location. Prospective members and visitors from other bushwalking clubs are most welcome to come along to Club Nights to get information or make a booking to join one of our activities. Additional online information is to be found under Frequently Asked Questions or the Visitors page. Contact us at either PO Box 1751, Melbourne, Vic 3001 or via Email. |
