Bangkok - Flight Disruptions

Following the closure last week of Suvarnabhumi International and Don Muang airports due to political demonstrations, both airports reopened late on 3 December to a very limited number of flights, although the terminals are not yet fully operational.

Australians with flights previously scheduled to depart from Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang in the coming days are encouraged to contact their airline for information, particularly on check-in details including the location of your check-in.

Australians stranded in Bangkok should first contact their airline for assistance with travel and accommodation.

Attacks in Mumbai India

On 26 and 27 November, terrorists attacked at least ten locations in Mumbai in the Colaba/south Mumbai area.  The attacks took place at two luxury hotels, the Oberoi-Trident and the Taj Mahal Palace; Nariman House, a Jewish centre in Mumbai; the Victoria Terminus railway station; a hospital; and the Leopold Café.
